Oops! I see. Mine is ASSOCIATED original.simonsg a écrit :Yes this piece also is interesting where does it come from
But my question was about the other one just under the filling cap, where to find these pieces![]()
Thanks for your inputs
The process for the restoration of TANK is also very fun. Please do not rush and take your time for completion.OCA1 a écrit :I know, I just need to make time to restore the fuel tanks, but it can be very rewarding if the results are like the fuel tanks you did. I have a couple of more that are not assembled yet.![]()
You're right the tank in the center came off a DELTA. Do you know what the main differences are between an ASSOCAITED and DELTA tank setup? Is it that the V shape part of the fuel tank for an ASSO is on the top and on the bottom for a DELTA fuel tank.
Oooh, Perfect tools & good preparationOCA1 a écrit :I'll take my time and won't rush it. I have already prepared all the tools, such as the mini torch, mini pipe bender and I found special acid flux solder with silver which is perfect for soldering the tanks together. Just waiting for the right time and mood to start doing it.I love vintage hi-johnson fuel tank
I personally like the DELTA tank setup better with the flat part on top.
