Hello from Italy

Message par wildwillydriver » 03 Mai 2011, 17:43

Bonjour!

First of all I'd like to apologize myself for not talking french. However, I can understand written french but it's better for you and me that i don't try to write or speak it....
I'll try with english, not perfect but a little bit better.....

I have joined to this forum, because I really like its contents very much, and is great to find a lot of very useful information about restorations and vintage RC cars bid experts and lovers. It's more or less 30 years that i'm in love with RC cars with on and off periods. I started my RC early in the 80's with a Playtron Mercedes 500K and immediately after with a Tamyia Wild Willy since at 12 i was not able to regulate the small Playtron Fuji 099 SR carburetor....
I changed a lot of cars up to 90's, my last was a Tamiya King Cab, then i left the hobby for 10 years but in the 1999 with internet connection and Ebay everything started again. I started to buy all the cars that i used to dream about during childhood looking at catalogs....

Currently i own about 60 cars, mostly Tamiya and Playtron nitro buggies (both 500K and Viva Arizona) + Kyosho, Mantua, Marui, Compagnucci.

Playtron probably are the less famous and deserve a pic to better explain.

I'm already a member of other RC related sites like tamiyaclub or Oople.

After a lot of electrics i'm now back on Nitro and i just finished the resto of the firts Tamiya nitro car the TR-15T (i share some pics below).

Hope it's not against this forum rules to put a link to another one (if yes please delete it and accept my apologize  ) but if you want to see the resto you can CLICK HERE.

Benvenuto :)

Lots of good stuff here! I especially dig the TR15T... such a gorgeous truck, and tamiya's first nitro! Still looking for a body for mine if you have a spare one.

Ciao,
Paul

And my Marui Big Bear more on the shelf than on the ground but it's nice even to look at it, at least for me.
