Pour ceux qui ne maitrisent pas l'anglais, j'ai fait ce petit travail de saisie, y plus qu'a faire un copier/coller:
About the … Curtis-Balnel racing team and theire cars
Bob Ballenger and Dick Schnell have prepared these two cars from Curtis-Car Kit to compete in the coming 1971 ROAR races throughout the Midwest.
Last august, 1970, the Balnel Racing Team was the undisputed leader at the Indianapolis ROAR Nationals. Schnell won the Grand Champion Trophy and Ballanger was runner-up. Ballenger also won the coveted Curtis Cup for the Oval Racing.
Dick Schnell is a long time hobbyist who has excelled in many different phases of modelling. Dick took up Radio Control in airplanes, moved to boats, and is now a National Champion in radio controlled car racing.
Bob Ballenger, on the order hand, has a background of actual racing experience. Bob raced raced several years in SCCA. After retiring from sports car racing , Bob turned to model car racing and was one of the first in the Chicago area to become interested in radio controlled model race cars.
It seems almost the inevitable for Bob Ballenger and Dick Schnell to have come together to form a radio controlled model car racing team. Between them they know radios, engines, cars characteristics , and racing techniques.
In august of last year Bob and Dick got their first look at the newly designed Curtis-Car and liked what they saw. They look standard off-the-shelf Curtis-Car kits and added their own ingenuity to prepare the cars for the 1971 racing season. Many of the outstanding modifications made to these standard Curtis-Car are already being incorporated in the production models. At the coming season progresses , more will be learned by the Curtis-Balnel team. Curtis engineers will take every advantage of this learning to continue to produce the most outstanding raceable radio controlled model cars in the world.
