That's a very big bore carb and must be rare for its period. 9mm carb inlet is only common on current equipment

I don't know if this thirsty engine can last a 5 minute heat...

yep peoples remenber having difficulties with fuel consumption , however power was great

Yes, Actually the balance of the air & fuel is important.
Too big mouth is coming up much reft easily
