Magnum 87 4x4

Hello,

I would like to present my Magnum 87, which I got from ebay a few months ago.
This is for showroom purposes although I'm so tempted to run it in a track. But I assume it has weak points..
Do you know if those alu turrets are option or custom parts?

I got it with almost a second Magnum so now I'm preparing this second unit to run with it (only for fun of course..).

My envy for those who have a Macho 4x2 and 4x4 which are my weakness (chain transmission..)

That body didn't came with the car, so I got one which has been in other Siccoms.

And the one I'll set for run purposes is attached in the photo below. A lot of work, so it's the challenge I like. Here I'll use non-original parts if required, like the dampers.
The aluminium used in this car is unfortunately not the best one.

About 7h of work and the front transmission is there.
I had to repair broken parts, rework other parts, suspension arms, changing dogbones, fit special ball bearings to allow room for the diff screws, and a lot of rouble with that servo-saver.
Once adapted the rims and dampers, this is the aspect still pending to set an engine and RC.
I use non-original parts as required to allow the proper run of this car, please don't be scared

Hi again,
I had some hours this week-end to keep on finishing the runner car.
I set an OS Max 21 engine, not the one which suits better like an OPS Mondial or so but I had to cut the shaft in a new one and it was not worth doing.
Then I set a Serpent(?) tank, a vintage throttle servo (RS200) and one of those "miracle" servos with 13Kg and very cheap, to test if they're enough for fun.
The set up of the linking is still to be done and here is my question for the ones who run/ran this car, where to install the throttle servo as there is n space. And afterwards where to install receiver&battery, as there's no space in there

Attached some photos, and please again do not blame on me for the "ilegal mods"...

You are right, only reason is that this reso suits well but I will look for something else. And really no reso, it's empty inside.

For which Yankee is that Reso? I think I tried it in my Yankee 87 4x4 but it didn't fit into the body

I checked now the exhausts in last Yankees and mine was cut, as part of the inlet pipe is missing. That's why it does not fit to the lexan body

I think I'll simply add a pipe between engine and exhaust and set it in my Yankee 87. Thanks for the remark, as I know vintage italian cars but french ones are partially unknown for me..

Thanks for the help.
I finally changed the exhaust for one of the Robbe Pantera family, and installed the Yankee one in my Yankee 87 as it must be

On the other hand the receiver is below the throttle servo, and battery beside the exhaust. Not the best situation for temperatures but it fits..

Missing is the brake linking, and improving throttle link.

My second Magnum 4x4 did the test-run yesterday.

Independing from the typical problems (carburation, tires unglued, leackage in tank lines) I was surprised with the handling of the car. Even with only 2 diffs and old tires (used time ago in my Ghibli) it's very stable and has a good handling.

But it gets a lot of dust and little stones into the rear uprights and therefore is blocked easily. I must say I'm using aditional hexagon fittings for the rims. If someone know the reason please tell me..
