Black Hurricane!

Hello,

this is one of those cars I had seen when I was a child, very ugly but but I was curious to this car.
So I got it today, still pending all the cleaning process.
The engine is a Thunder Tiger, seems without compression
The car is complete, and the body intact, I think it didn't see a simple drop of alcohol

Any help or ideas about this car would be welcomed.
The transmission is complicated, it seems to me a miracle that someone could do an only tank without problems...

Yep you are right for me its quite ugly as well 8) , with this short wheelbase and long overhang...but its a funny one

Like for the engine the chassis is a Thunder Tiger a cheap copy of the similar kyosho chassis of the same period mid/late 80 :?:

I don't beleive the body belongs to this chassis...

You are probably right. The car itself is very used and careless. The engine w/o compression is a bad sign.
The body was cut, decals on but never used as the antenna on the the RC box lid does not fit with this body.

It's quite similar to Kyoshos, but other cars from Thunder Tiger are even more similar to the Fairlady/Rowdy Baja/Racing Baja family.

Yours seems more a Challenger but without the roll cage. Look at the position of the dampers, and those Epoxi plates for the engine&transmission.

That Black Hurricane has an indirect transmission using an aditional belt, I can't understand why they did it so complicated. And it seems to be extremely heavy :?

Hi,
I could finally dedicate some time to this car. After a deep cleaning process this is the result.
You will see the RC as well, I changed some parts &steering servo and it is OK.
Ideas for the clutch system? Seems so complicated to start..
There's still a lot to do till I can run this heavy car
