Phoenix Road Max by Todoroki Model

Message par assocista » 25 Jan 2012, 13:17

Bonjour :D

Here attached is Phoenix Road Max which I just restored for my reference currently.
This racer was made by Todoroki Model in the mid/70's.
It has the unique suspension unit and wire linkage throttle/brake like Photos.
These are quite innovation style at that time. The Futaba radio is also in the mid/70's
Please enjoy All ! :)

Hi MK4,

Yes,Todoroki Model was always competitor against Kyosho during the mid/70's to early/80's.
I remembered that Todoroki's Light weight chassis concept like Road Ace design was a little bit earlier than Kyosho at that time.
The World Championship Geneva 1979 was most brilliant time for the Todoroki Model.
However, After that, Kyosho had an advantage for R&D and growing up with Fantom 4WD technology.
It was a dream time for us!

Here attached is more photos about the rear suspension unit. Please enjoy!!!

Hi OCA1,Many thanks for your great comment!
The concept was to keep the original taste when restoring. This machine was really so hot at the mid/70's in here. :D
