Associated RC300 still under the restoration !

I am trying to restore this RC300 rigid spec from before and not completed yet right now
It must be spend time more maybe. But such restoration is a real pleasure
The important thing is to enjoy the vintage life first

Exactly yes It must be mounted a custom shape radio plate.
I have a plan to make assocista special by CFRP

This motor is K&B late spec with 13mm crank shaft

It's the same exhaust system.
There was noting a proper articles of radio plate for this kind of at that time.
We have to modify the proper one or make a custom plate by ourselves
It must be so fun

Attached is the other RC300 which I have.
Radio plate(above photo) is made by FRP. I arrange it by my self.
and the reinforcement of Can Muff is necessary for more durability as attached(below photo)

Whaow I really like this set up, particularly the chassis shape, and that rigid reinforcement bar at the center...side can exhauxt is great fun too

Hello Garros It's really pretty spec.
This spec was popular at the shift period from RC200 to RC300 in U.S.A.
This spec is one of my favorite in the vintage associated

moteur d origine ricaine ,cela devrait gazer ,bien sur aucun perçage ,donc retour a l origine sans probléme .

Elle est sale mais n'a jamais roulé malgré une platine très abimée !
It is dirty but has never rolled ! And the radio plate is bad !

Following is some stuff of each diff.

For RC200 --- AMPS

For RC500 --- Ball Diff


For RC-1/2 --- Non diff
For RC100 --- ditto
For RC250/300 --- 2 kind of diff
*Gear diff is the same type as yours.Team associated has developed by themselves
Because AMPS one was too much cost.
*The other is ball diff. This diff was super functional

For Thorp diff: I guess that this one is oldest one in 1:8 scale gas

If these will be good ref, I am fine

RC1 -> 1970
RC100 -> 1975
RC200 -> 1978
RC300 -> 1979
RC500 -> 1983

La RC1 est l'oeuvre de Mike Morrisey, tandis que la RC100 est dessinée par Gene Husting
Associated demenage à Santa Ana en 71 pour fabriquer la RC100 et bizarement on ne la verra en course qu'a partir de 75

Pour les diff, en France les premiers modeles aperçu sur des Asso furent les AMPS ( JP Lemaitre dans sa periode RCCL )
