No I don't have it.

It's a scan image from Kyosho 1980 catalog ! maybe if someone here can read Japanese and translate to us what is written there :?:

Hello Mar1,

have you seen that : where is located the tank  ?

Some parts are still direct from sheets or square of AU4G, then for the final product end 1980/begining1981 they're made from cast aluminium.

May be only a model for show and pictures ?

Hehe, ton traducteur automatique ne fonctionné pas :P

I assume it's a proto for several reasons;
First, bumpers are cut as I do with my vintage cars to run with them. No injected bumper.
Second, the rear trays for the roll cage are machined, not injected. There are other machining parts.
And third, the front suspension has no springs :x

But cool anyway

Another strange thing is the K&B sticker on the radio box and the Enya 21 X mounted on the car .... :?

L'autre chose étrange c'est l'autocollant K&B sur la boite radio et l'Enya 21X qui est monté sur la voiture ....

I knew this forum time ago.
But I didn't join it due to the language.
In my case I can partly understand french but I'm only able to write a few words.

I readed the internal rules and I did not see any restriction related to the language.
And I thought it was possible automatic translation into french for english language users.

I honesty think this is a very interesting site as simonsg says, due to its cumulated experience and its content. There are other sites but no so complete in so many aspects.
Of course it's possible an internal rule where you can only speak french and all of us will leave the site, this is usual even in forums in Spain to avoid reading catalan, basc and other local languages. Earnest, I think it would be a loose for us but also for you.
And please take into account that most of us are already writting in a foreign language.

And Simonsg, the Enya engine does no fit with the Landi but really is from those years. All Robbe Expert/Racing came with such engines. In fact one of them is in my runner Landi now

Hi victorsaab,

OK 100 % with you :D .

I've been living for 10 years in Mauritius Island, and what a pleasure to be able to speak French, English and even Mautian creole, sometimes the three together.

English is really an international language, chiefly for R/C racing cars rules (IFMAR, EFRA, ....).
All that is made in Japan or China is first english language.

About the engine, the first "Land-Jump" in France (april 1981,mine), direct from Japan, was OS 21 equiped, and after, my n° 2 and 3 also.

From what country are you ?

Thanks simonsg, if you allow me to do so it will be a pleasure.
Bullitwist a écrit :From what country are you ?
I come from Spain, and living in Barcelona. Here while in a meeting we change from spanish to catalan, english if required and -why not- even german. But unfortunately I had no opportunity to learn french
And it gives more plurality, so I agree completely with you.

But I partly understand the situation; it's funny to see a post in english once a week, but reading 10% of messages in english is not funny anymore as it seems we are pushing french out, when it's not our intention.

and now...a photo of my Landi runner with Enya
It came with tunning dampers and really in bad condition.

Hi Bullitwist,

maybe the fuel tank was not made at the photo time, or it might be inside the radio box :?:

Morning Mar1,

"May be inside the radio box" ?

So it would be a " tank box" .

No, I'm sure that for this picture, nothing is really quite finished like the product found in R/C racing shops later.

I did the same thing when I had to do the pictures of my "Bullit" for first advertising and cover of the box  .

here you see that Kyosho sent the prototype photos to dealers for advertisement purpose, the below photo shows the Landjump 4D prototype in a magazine ad. !

Image

Below Kyosho is testing a second prototype of Landjump 4D now you can see the fuel tank, still prototype but closer to the production version. The radio box and driver doll are still the very early prototypes. Also it shows that Kyosho didn't make their mind whether to use the same tires all around or use the circuit 20 tires in front.

Very nice car and thanks for these documents. It's strange to see a Renault elf sticker on the tadio box! it's seam than renault was famous in 1980 at Japan.

best wish

The tires are all the time the ones from the Circuit 20 series.
Only 1 row of studs removed.
These are still wider othan the later Land Jump ones.

And they mounted the bumper on the upside. Strange!!!

Next thing are those pull springs in front, which also appeared in the Graupner catalogue in Germany I think.

The market really demanded a 4-wheel drive car, so Kyosho was in a hurry to finish the Land Jump.

But they did their homework and the first edition was already driveable and reliable.
Other companies realeased their prototypes and failed.
They had to release a second version quickly.
Kyosho only reworked the very weak front suspension, nothing else.
