These are my Delta carbs. Note the white and red plastic part, is the white one maybe older? The red one´s edge toward the motor is chamfered, the white one´s not. Maybe another difference of age because of development?

Yes, I believe that the white one is older. I have a similar white one with a smaller diameter venturi and the top part is chamfered all the way around.

The JACOB carb looks a lot like the first Delta slide carb or is it the same?

From what I have seen, the carb with needle at 45 degree angle is early version made for Veco only.

It is one of the early slide carburators so works like that.
At one of the pictures above you can see the parts of this carb.
The metal plate is the moving part.

Hi V12, I was rather wondering how the fuel/air mixture ratio is controlled, and what plays the role of "low end needle". I can't clearly see from the pictures. The fuel both comes from top and bottom needles ?

Hello guys :)

The bottom needle valve is the idle mixture adjustment and low range-speed. The top one is the high speed needle valve for mid-range to hi-speed adjustments. The high speed needle valve adjustment has no effect on idle mixture.

I hope this explains how it works.

it seem to be brown , so
is it made in Tufnol or something like this , or is it epoxy /fiberglass

I was asking this also but it seems there was such Delta chassis.
Tufnol is similar to Pertinax and is too brittle so can´t be used for a chassis. I have seen brown fibreglass like this used for electronic boards several times. There is another Delta car using such chassis at the forum.

I do think that this is a delta product. It is made of the same FRP epoxy/fiberglass material as the green and black delta chassis and it have the same weave pattern too. These are some pictures of similar brown delta chassis that I have seen on the net.

I got a brown chassis now also. Seems the same version and I got this with some other parts from a former Delta shop so yes the brown chassis is original Delta.

Meanwhile I went trough my own Delta chassis and pictures I have seen at internet so found at least eight different chassis for the CK780, CK790 and CK800 cars, maybe more.
If you compare the brown chassis with the green chassis it´s quite the same, the brown chassis just have three mounting holes for the front end where the green have two holes as the black chassis.
The black chassis is same overall shape again as the brown and green chassis but the black have the large round cutout below the frontend, where the holes for the strengthening brace is missing.
Then the thin, light green fibreglass chassis, several types of aluminium chassis ..... Really difficult to follow the Super-J development, small changes all the time.

Nice find V12! So now we can confirm that the brown chassis is an original Delta part :D
