Hello, Here is the very rare D&D Graphite for RC500 2WD.
The condition is damaged a lot with the scratch and damn holes.
So, I decided to repair it and also re-assemble each parts with refinement.
↓This is a damaged original custom chassis which D&D made circa1983.
↓made the surface smoother with epoxy resin and some chemical treatment.
↓adjusted the colour(German Gray) on the surface like the CFRP production in the early/80's.
↓All the parts are refined and re-assembled. It looks getting nicer.
↓Zoom D&D Graphite. Awesome Shape
↓Super Light Weight Spec
Please enjoy !

Assocista,
Wow

Awesome chassis restoration job

The chassis looks as good as new, very nice job. What type of epoxy resin did you use, is it the same as used for automotive body repair

Hi OCA1, Thank you for your compliment
The process is definitely the same way as automotive body.
It's like a skiving and sanding process continuously. should be done one by one carefully.
Regarding the Epoxy resin,It was done by more convenience way in case of this time.
It was epoxy glue which was mixed 2 kind of liquid. This one is quite good for the adhesion with CFRP. The hardness and durability is also enough.

MK4/mani, Thanks a lot for your comment.
I did it all the chassis like Top surface and the opposite side of each pieces.
But spray is not too much so that it can be kept the original feeling.
and added a half-transparent spray finally.
I guess that the important thing is how to make the surface flat completely before spray

Hi ye made a stock of chassis for the winter

at the moment crisis is over and works are plentifull...was just able to pick some parts from a shop in Ryadh SA

but no Delta spares

...also busy running the DXF classic car at the local track
Your RC500 2WD is really great with such rare optional parts, one of my dreams, the carbon color goes so well with the milky plastic parts
keep up the good works
hav fun

Oh elle est vraiment sympa cette caisse...
Je ne savais pas que Associated avait fait une voiture de piste du même type que la PB Nova.
C'est vraiment une belle voiture.

Bonjour edf84

many thanks for your comment.
Actually the chassis shape is quite similar to PB Nova.
D&D Graphite has made the other shape one to DELTA Eagle as well. I saw it on the stuff before.
These unitized construction chassis is really light weight and beautiful looking
Cheers

Bonjour assoelectro

Many thanks for your compliment !
D&D released this graphite chassis in the early/'83 as far as I know.
It was a little bit earlier compared with PB Nova '84.
Such kind of chassis must be innovated at that time
