yep you have to use a site like :

www.imageshack.com

you select 15 inch monitor size, you upload your picture, you then copy forum link , and you paste that link into your message body ...

Try again you got the wrong link :) , when you are making your message hit the button "previsualisation" to see if link is active, if not try again with another link from your picture upload page...you must load pictures one by one and choose "Forum" link only

Hola Xavier,

Benvingut a rcmagvintage.
Jo et recomano imageshack.
Quan carreguis fotos amb l'imageshack, i tinguis fet el "upload", pots escollir l'opció que surt com a "codigo del foro". Així surt la foto previsualitzada directament.

The car itself is a Prafa 4x4 from about 1987. Not very valuable, but usually reliable. Most valuable, similar in concept but different in many parts is the Robbe Pantera with roll cage.
If you need spares I have them available ;-)

a+ tof

Looks like a prototype or a forerunner of the Serpent Trial Jeep, with reverse gear.
Wishbones are different from those of the Cobra/Jeep (mould is less sophisticated), and the pull starter facing the clutch is typical of some individual owner (DIY) upgrade.
The plate onto which the reverse gear is fitted really looks the same as the Jeep one.
In all cases, a unique finding !
Have a look at http://www.rcmagvintage.com/reviews/ret ... erpent.htm if you didn't already...
We all know that Bervoets and Ton made (and trashed) so many buggies prototypes :P

Ok now I'm getting somewhere!

Is it a Serpent?

I found it at a used markets for $50Au.

I'm thinking of a good clean and not sure if I will run it as it might break something.
What is a good cleaner to remove the sticky fuel?

Xavier.

Simple copy & paste one of the URL posted by Xavier2009, and then when on yfrog (imageshack), browse the pictures with next & prev button.

Plenty of cleaners around the kitchen zinc  mostly degreasing agents ... some are agressive for aluminium alloys like sprays for cleaning owen, but are great for cleaning burnt fuel residues...start by dismantling everything, wash with soap "for dishes or Hands soap from mechanical worshops" and hot water should be allrigh as your car is quite clean for a start.. :ok:

Do you mean a floamarket in Spain? Barcelona? Usually I can't find anything there, spanish people are not very used to collect such vintage cars

For cleaning I remove electrical parts, apply KH7 spray for oven&kitchen (the common orange one) and the car takes literally a "shower". In this process you should avoid inmersion of the car into the water.

The main problem is removing ricine oil, I didn't get the final clue for this.

BTW I would say Prafa developed even transmission and suspension parts for Yankee for The 86 versions on, as even my Prafa Top Gun shares parts with Yankee. Am I right?

Thanks everyone.

I will now start the restoration and eventually run the car on vintage days.

Victorsaab,

I'm in Australia, the markets is a place where you take your unwanted goods to sell, I also bought a nice big telescope there.

Thank you all again.

Xavier.

I will take some photos of the clean up, and some of the vintage race day.

I will not be racing the Prafa as I race my Tamiya Hotshot and Wild One, but the Prafa will get all the attention on the day.

From Australia,
Xavier.
