I hope I can do a near perfect restore of the CK790E. But I´m still gathering parts, also have to finish some projects before making room at the workshop for this one.

I was asking this also but it seems there was such Delta chassis.
Tufnol is similar to Pertinax and is too brittle so can´t be used for a chassis. I have seen brown fibreglass like this used for electronic boards several times. There is another Delta car using such chassis at the forum.

The original chassis for the CK790E is the rectangle fibreglass chassis of the CK790 gas car with just a different cutout below the motor. I found Delta used a lot of hardware actually intended for aircraft use that time. It´s just bad this stuff is not used today with exactly same look or dimens...

Ah ok. I think OCA1 could explain better than me, I´m more the electric expert.

It is one of the early slide carburators so works like that.
At one of the pictures above you can see the parts of this carb.
The metal plate is the moving part.

From what I have seen, the carb with needle at 45 degree angle is early version made for Veco only.

These are my Delta carbs. Note the white and red plastic part, is the white one maybe older? The red one´s edge toward the motor is chamfered, the white one´s not. Maybe another difference of age because of development?
