Re: Can somebody identify this motor please?

Thanks to my good friend Jon Cook I was finally able to identify this engine. It is a Nelson .15 (2,5cc) F.I.R.E pylonracer engine, converted for use in a car. The carb is an Irvine unit (merci GuidonJr)

Yes, on ebay.com
The seller sent it to my friend in the US, who cut it in smaller 12"x12" tiles.
Ciao!

Hi Olivier, I saw that car on ebay, good price! The car is quite complete, indeed some parts are missing or need replacement. Looking at the lower chassis and the configuration of the rear shocks, it seems to be an early car that has been 'upgraded' to belt drive. However, in the rear you can also s...

Very nice car! Here's another thread on the 790-E...I have one myself, but incomplete. I bought the correct Astro 015 motor recently, but I need a piniongear. Standard pinions don't fit the Astro's larger diameter shaft. Here is the thread started by V12: http://rcmagvintage.com/modules.php?name=For...

Today, while I was working on one of my projects, I discovered that what I thought was an early SuperJ, was in fact also an 'E' version! Mine has an all aluminum chassis, with the special cutout for the motor, and the 2 extra holes in the right hand bearing hanger to mount the motor. If you look clo...

Platines Delta

Hello, I have imported some correct material to make Delta bumpers and radioplates. The tiles are 12" x 12" and 1/8" thickness (3,4mm.). Please send me a PM if interested. I have 8 available. Shipping from Amsterdam. Trades with Delta parts welcome. Thanks, Mick http://imageshack.us/scaled/thumb/836...

So, the conclusion: Made and designed for the Serpent Quattro with the 'cascade' gear drive, nice idea, but low quality kit. I doubt if this will ever work properly. The backplate will need a lot of modification to fit. http://imageshack.us/scaled/thumb/715/p1110916j.jpg http://imageshack.us/scaled/...

Ok, I'm still waiting for a response from BP racing products in Italy, but I suddenly remembered that this was described as a Serpent Quattro brake-set by the ebay seller 2 years ago when I bought a Quattro and some parts. So I opened the bag, and started puzzling....sure enough, it seems to be made...
